Piedmont
Piedmont is home to two of Italy's most famous red wines: Barolo and Barbaresco. They are complex wines, high in tannin and acidity, allowing them to cellar well or to drink young with food. Also worth trying is a crisp Gavi, aromatic Arneis, sweet Moscato and, the ultimate pizza wine: Dolcetto.
