Château Pichon wines are the creation of one of the best examples of Bordeaux wine from Pauillac.The name comes when Therese, the founder's daughter, married Jacques de Pichon Longueville, the first President of the Bordeaux parliament. After 250 years it is still ran by the family, who is looking after the good reputation of the brand and the wines. The terroir of Chateau Pichon Lalande is deep gravel with clay and limestone soil, they are just only a vine away from Chateaux Latour with an easy access to the Gironde river.
Château Pichon Reserve de la Comtesse de Lalande 2012 Red Wine and Pichon-Lalande's 2008 has been classed by many wine critics as the chateau's best wine since 2002. Chateau Pichon Lalande Reserve de la Comtesse, situated in Pauillac next to Château Latour, consistently make one of the region's greatest wines. It is a powerful, graceful, sensuous, rich and fresh red wine which offers silky and velvet textures.
