Château Pichon Lalande Réserve de la Comtesse Pauillac 75cl
Réserve de la Comtesse is the second wine to the famous Pauillac 2nd growth Château Pichon Lalande. This stylish red wine regularly outperforms other prestigious estates' grand vins. Château Pichon Lalande was founded in 1689 and acquired the status of 2ème Cru Classé in the original 1855 classification. The 76-hectare vineyard borders Château Latour and stretches south towards the commune of Saint-Julien. The wines produced here are of exceptional elegance and finesse and their extraordinary charm is renowned. Réserve de la Comtesse de Lalande contains a high proportion of Merlot, making it approachable and giving it a seductively plush texture. 2015 produced a wine that is perfumed, ripe, and silky.

"This is an impressive second wine. It shows a lot of vibrant red berries, blackberries and darker plum fruits. The palate is impressive for the vibrant and lively acidity cast amid sturdy but supple tannins. Second wine from Pichon-Lalande. Try from 2021." 93 Points - James Suckling
"Attractive in its youth, as it often is, the second wine from Pichon-Comtesse ages well, too. This is floral, fine and well balanced with skilfully judged tannins and oak and good underlying structure. Impressive stuff. Drink: 2020-28" 93 Points - Tim Atkin MW
