Frerejean Frères Champagne
Champagne Frerejean Frères was founded by the last generation members of a long line of cannon-makers who supplied the French army when defending against the Prussians during the Napoleonic Wars. The founders began to make their Champagne for friends and family but, once word started to spread, they officially went into business in 2005. The Champagne is now sold in small quantities all over the world and the house is known for their fresh, innovative approach they take whilst respecting the traditional methods of producing Champagne.
The wines produced are of outstanding quality with individually complex and elegant characteristics. Only Premier Cru and Grand Cru grapes are hand-selected always keeping quality as the main focus. The production process honours the land as the approach minimises the use of chemicals and pesticides on the vines in the unique terroir of the Côte des Blancs region.
ROOTED IN THE REGION
The brothers partnered with Didier Pierson, a 5th Generation Chef de Cave from Avize and together they have developed an approach insisting on working exclusively with Grand and Premier Cru parcels of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
