Perrier Jouet Champagne is available at The Champagne Company and the origin and love story of Perrier Jouet dates to 1810 when the Épernay-based cork supplier Pierre Nicolas Perrier married Rose Adélaide Jouët, the daughter of a Calvados producer. The newlyweds begin producing champagne under the name Perrier-Jouët.
Perrier Jouet Champagne since 1918, has maintained a creative spirit and quest for perfection In 1958 Perrier Jouet guaranteed the rarity and quality of their wines by branding the corks of each with the vintage year and PJ seal, proving the wines authenticity.
In the early 1900s, the Art Nouveau movement burst into life, drawing its inspiration from the lines and movements of nature, inviting beauty and poetry into daily life and artist and master glassmaker Emile Gallé was one of the movement's pioneers. He designed the iconic anemone wreathed in gold that was placed on the bottle of the first Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque vintage in 1964, turning it into a work of art the history of which unfurls and continues to this day. Today the Belle epoque range are still painted with his elegant Japanese anemone flowers.
