"Mmm, delightfully pronounced autolysis on the nose with notes of umami plus brioche. Fine bead is decidedly gentle. Very serious wine that's not austere at all. A particularly satisfying Extra Brut. Neat." - 18/20 - Jancis Robinson
"Golden colour. Wonderful nose displaying perfect maturity and autolysis character, distinct aroma of Brioche, walnuts, Pumpernickel, vanilla, balmy spices, dried pineapple and hints of candied orange peel. On the palate rich with creamy texture, balmy spices, dried fruits and a combination of minerality and "sweetness" making this Extra Brut one of the best in its class." - 96/100 - Markus del Monego MW

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Despite a strong start to the growing season with an excellent flowering in the Spring, 2006 presented challenges across the board. June and July delivered a run of hot, dry days that ripened the grapes. However, this progress was jeopardised when mid-Summer hailstorms were seen across the region. Fortunately, warm and dry days in September pushed the grapes to ripeness and effectively saved the harvest.
The Pinot Noir offers a ripeness and softness, which makes an exquisite pairing to the freshness and finesse of Chardonnay. Aromas of candied fruit are present throughout and accompanied by secondary notes of mature fruits and marzipan.
