Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2018 Champagne Magnum 150cl
Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2018 Champagne is produced for limited releases using the traditional House blend from twenty Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Made up of a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, the champagne has been aged on lees for 4 years before being disgorged in November 2023.
The Champagne goes through a second fermentation in the coolest Pol Roger cellars, thirty-three metres below ground level. These cooler cellars slow down bottle fermentation.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
The 2018 harvest year was initially cold with February experiencing some snowfall. Summer was hot and mainly dry and as a result the Harvest started early on the 20th August and lasted 4 weeks. In general all grapes performed well, with lots of forward fruit and most champagne will have ok acidity, not racy, not soft.
With alluring aromas of lemon peel, tarte au citron and freshly baked madeleines, the champagne develops earthy notes of roasted hazelnuts and marmalade. The aromas are deep and showcase the many layers of complexity the Champagne offers. On the palate, an acidic backbone is balanced by the characteristically rich Pinot Noir for which Pol Roger is known.
