Pierre Gimonnet Special Club Oger Champagne 2015 75cl
Pierre Gimonnet Oger Grand Cru 2015 is a very limited, single-terroir Blanc de Blancs Champagne made by a grower who specialises in Chardonnay. Just 5200 bottles of this micro-cuvée were made, the grapes coming from Oger Grand Cru vineyards in the Southern end of the Côte des Blancs. These terroirs tend to produce wines with a smoky, flinty minerality.
Pierre Gimonnet is a member of the prestigious collection of growers known as Club Trésors, and this Champagne achieves their highest classification, Special Club, which is awarded only to the most outstanding wines in the finest vintages.

2015 is considered as one of the great recent vintages. It was marked by hot and dry conditions, which reduced yields due to water stress. Disease pressure was low and the small crop produced was exceptional quality, with intense, ripe, rich fruit.
Powerful and rich, with stone fruits, citrus oil, blossom and assertive, smoky minerality. Layered, with complex savoury notes.
Firm white fish, roasted and served with brown butter sauce.
