Eric Rodez Les Fournettes Pinot Noir 2009 Champagne 75cl

Eric Rodez Les Fournettes Pinot Noir 2009 Champagne 75cl is created from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from a chalky terroir giving great minerality to the wine with an elegant fruitiness. This Champagne has been vinified in small oak barrels and has undergone no malolactic fermentation with a low dosage of just 2 gr/l.

This Blanc de Noirs is from a single vineyard in Ambonnay and the quality of both the terroir and the grapes is excellently reflected in the Champagne. Perfect for pairing with a number of dishes with a lingering, unforgettable finish.

Fresh and clear with great chalk and mineral expression. The palate is green and citrus lead with fine bubbles and a long finish.
Perfect with white meats, especially pork dishes as well as rich fish such as salmon and tuna or mild, soft cheeses.

Eric Rodez has been producing Champagne since 1984 and has great experience in Burgundy and as Cellar Master at Krug where he was responsible for the Grande Cuvee. Incidentally, he is also the mayor of Ambonnay and a true advocate in promoting the quality of viticulture in Champagne.
