Pierre Gimonnet Special Club Chouilly Champagne 2015 75cl
Pierre Gimonnet Chouilly Grand Cru 2015 is a very limited, single-terroir Blanc de Blancs Champagne made by a grower who specialises in Chardonnay. Just 3923 bottles of this connoisseur's choice were made, the grapes coming from a single plot of Chouilly known as Montaigu, with characteristic chalky soils. This is an archetypal Blanc de Blancs: refined, delicate and creamy. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is rested in tank for 6 months before bottling and at least 60 months on lees. True to Gimonnet style, this has crystalline purity.
Pierre Gimonnet is a member of the prestigious collection of growers known as Club Trésors, and this Champagne achieves their highest classification, Special Club, which is awarded to the most outstanding wines in the finest vintages.
