Gaston Chiquet Special Club Brut Vintage 2014 Champagne 75cl
Gaston Chiquet has three main principles when it comes to this champagne - originality, authenticity, and meticulousness. Only the very best blends are selected as a "Special Club" champagne.
The terroir is clay and limestone, which stores and radiates solar heat, maximises drainage of excess water, and retains humidity in the Summer. It also stores the principal minerals that give the grapes their high ester content.

Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
The 2014 harvest was a complex one which had difficult conditions and held a large margin for error. A warm, dry Spring meant that the growing season got off to a healthy start but a cool, wet Summer put the harvest in jeopardy. Chardonnay appeared to perform the best, with Pinot Noir also ending well. As such, the Gaston Chiquet Special Club 2014 is considered to be one of the better champagnes of this vintage year.
This champagne boasts floral aromas that are elegant and fresh and that perfectly complement the refined palate. On the palate, notes of quince and hazelnut allow for a long, mousse-like finish.
