Champagne Geoffroy Rosé de Saignée Brut NV Champagne 75cl
Champagne Geoffroy Rosé is a bold style designed to have enough power and complexity to be a real food wine. 100% Pinot Noir grapes from premier cru vineyards create this rosé by the Saignée method. This method involves leaving the grape skins in contact with the juice before fermentation, thus the wine obtains its pink hue through direct skin contact, rather than blending in still red wine as is more common in Champagne.
Champagne Geoffroy lies in the heart of Vallée de la Marne and is known for their Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier-focused champagnes and the family can be traced back in this area since the 17th century.

Grape: Pinot Noir
Bright summer fruits are combined with deeper flavours of blackberries and blood orange. The palate has a slight floral hint of rose and peony with wild strawberries. This Champagne style is best enjoyed young to appreciate its aromas of small, fresh and crisp red berries.
Can be paired with richer style dishes including Pan-fried Dover sole with warm tomato compote or Lardo di colonnata.
