Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
The 2012 vintage year was, by all accounts, excellent despite the growing season throwing several curve balls at producers. The relatively warm Winter progressed into an extremely wet spring and many vineyards were devastated by frost and vicious hailstorms. However, incredibly good conditions in August turned the vintage around.
Red varieties such as Pinot Noir and Meunier were able to reach optimum ripeness, while Chardonnay was both rounded and rich while retaining the necessary acidity.

With a straw-coloured hue that presents attractive golden reflections, this champagne offers aromas of ripe yellow fruits, baked lemon, and cardamom throughout. The body is full-flavoured and the palate is balanced and offers an exquisite mousse. The finish is remarkably long and refined, pushing through final notes of luscious fruit.
The Thiénot 2012 vintage will perfectly complement a red meat or fish dish, such as red mullet tartlets. For a vegetarian version, serve alongside a hearty mushroom wellington.
