Rare Brut Vintage 2008 Champagne is a tribute to the halcyon days of the royal court at Versailles, Florens-Louis Heidsieck granted his first cuvée to Marie Antoinette in 1785. 2008 was an incredible vintage in Champagne, considered one of the best two vintages of this decade. The 2008 is created from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir that have been kept on its lees for eleven years before disgorgement.

'Like a stallion out of the gate, this shows an initial explosion of power, in the form of mouth-watering flavours and fine texture, before quickly settling into an elegant gait. The racy acidity is seamlessly knit, buoying the lacy mousse and flavours of cassis, toasted brioche and tangerine, with accents of candied ginger, hazelnut and fleur de sel lingering on the long, creamy finish.' 98 points – Wine Spectator
Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
On the nose, refined topical fruits, mango, lime and kiwi fruit, evolving to hazelnut, baked apple and cream. On the palate hints of white peach, toast and quince. The finish is balanced and refined.
The Best!
