Leclerc Briant was founded by Lucien Leclerc in Cumières in 1872, and it relocated to the Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle in Epernay in 1955. It was also around this time, courtesy to Bertrand Leclerc, the founder's great-grandson and his wife Jacqueline Briant, that the House was given the name Leclerc Briant. Leclerc Briant was saved in 2012 when it was purchased by Mark Nunelly and Denise Dupré, an American couple who are great fans of the French "art de vivre" and who fell in love with the House's nonconformist character. They are joined by Frédéric Zeimett, a Champagne local who has led the House to the marches of Champagne codes since then, serving the expression of a particular style that is today internationally renowned.
