Henriot Millésime 2012 Champagne Case Deal 6 x 75cl
Henriot Brut Millésime 2012 is an elegant and balanced Champagne that not only reflects the characteristics of the vintage but also the Champagne Henriot house style. Its proportion of Pinot Noir gives it delicious berry fruit flavours whilst the Chardonnay brings great freshness. The champagne is aged on lees for some 8 years before disgorgement.
“Henriot Millésime 2012 is characterized by aromatic heterogeneity and complexity. The first nose is intense, almost heady. Yet it is counterbalanced a few seconds later by an incredible elegance with airy and floral notes. The wine is in motion with a succession of the following aromatic notes: summer flowers, meringue, ripe fruits, then fresh summer currants, chalk, minerality, patina... it is an endless impetus. On the palate, it’s the same ballet coming together, which makes this Champagne creation so unique and compelling.” - Alice Tétienne, Cellar Master of Maison Henriot.

The 2012 vintage year was, by all accounts, excellent despite the growing season throwing several curve balls at producers. The relatively warm Winter progressed into an extremely wet spring and many vineyards were devastated by frost and vicious hailstorms. However, incredibly good conditions in August turned the vintage around.
Red varieties were able to reach optimum ripeness, while Chardonnay was both rounded and rich while retaining the necessary acidity.
