Domaine Alain Chavy Puligny-Montrachet Vielles Vignes 2020 75cl
Domaine Alain Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 2020 provides a racy, restrained style of white Burgundy. The oak influence is kept to a minimum, revealing the delicate purity of the wine to shine through with notes of lemon, granny smith apple and under-ripe peach. The palate is incisive, with a steely nerve and measured power.
Domaine Alain Chavy is a small producer who, since its inception in 2003, has carved out a reputation for producing fine white Burgundy in a nuanced, focused style.

Grape: Chardonnay
2020 vintage in Burgundy followed the recent patterns of a mild winter causing bud-break to happen early in Spring, bringing the eventual harvest forward. The summer was dry and warm, with low disease pressure and no unwelcome heat spikes. Cool nights facilitated good retention of acids, whilst the sunny days allowed flavour development in the grape skins. This is a wonderful vintage for white Burgundy.
Focused, mineral white Burgundy that possesses lemon, granny smith apple and under-ripe peach with a very subtle oak spice note.
Fresh cheeses; cured fish; cooked white fish, delicately sauced
