Chateau Musar 2011 Bekaa Valley Lebanon Red Wine 75cl
Chateau Musar Red 2011 is a vibrantly powerful vintage with a traditional blend of approximately one third each of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan. The bottling took place 3 years later in 2014, after the wines spent a year in French Nevers oak barrels.
The 2011 vintage will keep well in the cellar for decades.

Over the last 20 years, 2011 was one of the most untypical years in Lebanese history creating the most challenging experiences in wine-making at Chateau Musar. With the year starting cold with insufficient rain, the following months produced a very high level of rain fall causing a very late maturation, 25 day later than usual. The harvest was finally completed on the 13th October, which with the exception of our 1983 vintage, was the latest in Chateau Musar's history.
A rich, fragrant fruit nose; mulberries, black cherries, plums with a hint of mocha. A very intense and concentrated palate, it’s full of volume and characterised by forest and black fruits with elegant spice. The tannins are soft and juicy with a lengthy finish.
Matches perfectly with red meats, especially game, seasonal casseroles and mature cheeses.
