Millstone 8 year old Rye is produced by Patrick Van Zuidam in a custom still, drawn by himself, creating a whisky of inovation and a great nod to the history of quality. Some of the most unique Whiskies ever tried, a real powerhouse of the use of Oak casks in various forms. Millstone Whisky is double distilled in handcrafted copper pot stills. The small stills have an extraordinary large copper surface if you compare them to the large stills used elsewhere. The small stills thus produce a very delicate and fruity new spirit. After the careful distillation the whisky is aged in small barrels. Millstone use new barrels of American white oak as well as barrels that have previously held Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry.
