Krug 2002 Vintage Champagne Magnum 150cl
Krug 2002 was the first vintage Krug of the Millenium and is an assemblage of the most expressive wines of that year. The house named the vintage, "Ode to Nature", as they were blessed with perfect, consistently warm weather and an abundant, healthy crop. The 2002 magnums were aged for 13 years in the Krug cellars, one year later than the regular-sized bottles, and riddled and labeled both by hand.
This vintage of Krug is intense and has wonderful delicacy and elegance. Like the 1988, which was released after the more forward 1989, Krug 2002 was released after the 2003. It is most definitely built for the long haul, and promises to evolve majestically and slowly over several decades.
