The 2009 vintage year was initially difficult with a rainy and mild spring. Storms in July raised concern for the health of the grapes. A warm August of continuous hot and dry weather allowed for an incredible harvest. Picking began on the 12th of September and the conditions were perfect.
Intensely fruity and aromatic on the nose with raspberries and strawberries at the fore. The palate is powerful violet and red apple lead, followed by privet, angelica and camphor tree. The finish is persistent with warming spice and blossom.
The bouquet bursts forth with raspberries and wild strawberries. Persistent powdery notes of iris and violet immediately meld with the fruit aromas. After breathing, greener nuances arrive, evoking privet, angelica and camphor tree. Intensely fruity and aromatic on the nose with raspberries and strawberries at the fore.
The initial sensations are tactile, full-bodied and silky as they unfold like a caress, gradually becoming bolder. The acidic foundation that is the signature of the vintage weaves into the structure of the pinot noir, vibrating the heart of the wine. The affirmed, persistent finish is redolent of peonies and white pepper

Rosé champagnes are surprisingly versatile when food pairing. The Dom Perignon 2008 Rosé is no exception working brilliantly with red meat dishes and oily fish.
