The 2009 vintage year was initially difficult with a rainy and mild spring. Storms in July raised concern for the health of the grapes. A warm August of continuous hot and dry weather allowed for an incredible harvest. Picking began on the 12th of September and the conditions were perfect.
On the nose, powerful cherry fruit notes, apricot and stone fruit tones allow for a softly spicy core to emerge. The palate is fruit-forward and both freshly acidic and soft. Big, bold and immediately expressive.
Rosé champagnes are surprisingly versatile when food pairing. The Dom Perignon 2009 Rosé is no exception working brilliantly with red meat dishes and oily fish.
