Cloudy Bay Pelorus Non Vintage Sparkling White Wine 75cl
The Cloudy Bay Pelorus Non Vintage Sparkling White Wine remains on lees for two years prior to disgorging. Pelorus Non Vintage is a chardonnay-predominant blend of selected vintages. Established in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five wine makers to venture into Marlborough. At the time, it was almost an unimaginable place to set-up a vineyard. But Cloudy Bay’s founder - David Hohnen - was convinced of its potential to produce great wine and invested in the best land of the region. Since then, Marlborough has risen to become New Zealand’s leading wine region, as well as one of the finest winemaking locations in the world.
It is a fresh, aperitif style sparkling wine with apple-crisp flavours, underpinned by nutty yeast complexity

derived from two years bottle maturation on lees. Several different clones of chardonnay and pinot noir are used in the vinification of Pelorus NV. All grapes are pressed without crushing and the juice is given a short period of settling which is followed by racking and inoculation with a pure strain of Montrachet yeast. The Cloudy Bay Pelorus NV sparkling wine is one of our favourites!
