Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Red Wine 2019 France 75cl
Château de Beaucastel has long been regarded as one of the greatest wine estates in France. Its wines are renowned for their elegance, balance and ageing potential. Beaucastel has an exceptional terroir at the Northern limit of Châteauneuf du Pape, exposed to the Mistral wind. All thirteen varieties of the appellation have been organically grown since the sixties. The 16th-century Château was acquired by the Perrin family in the early 1900s.
Coudoulet de Beaucastel takes its name from a lieu-dit located just outside the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation. This vineyard has similar soils to Beaucastel and the finished wine has a high percentage of Mourvedre. It is often known as 'Baby Beaucastel'.
