The recipe for Audemus Umami Gin is incredibly inventive. It's a completely unique experience that defies categorisation. Its distinctive flavour profile is built on a foundation of distilled South Italian capers and Italian Parmesan cheese.
Umami Gin takes its name from savouriness, also referred to as "salt without the salt". The finished result is a fresh and lightly savoury gin which has a completely unique flavour.

On the nose, you are met with fresh green, savoury aromas. On the palate, an initial burst of citrus, the parmesan adds a little flavour but gives it a slight fattiness on the palate and a soft savouriness on the tongue.
An amazing base for a traditional Bloody Mary is umami gin. Create your own by sprinkling lime and celery salt on the rim of a highball glass and adding 60 ml of umami gin and 100 ml of tomato juice to a cocktail shaker with ice. Add a pinch of celery salt, a grind of black pepper, a squeeze of lime, a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a few drops of Tabasco. Garnish with an olive or celery stick after a gentle shake. Try different flavours, such as horseradish, smoked paprika, oyster juice, or anything else you like.
