65% chardonnay and 35% pinot noir and comes from 3 Grand Cru villages; Avize, Ay and Cramant. The Champagne has been laying on her fermentation for 4 years and considered to be one of Champagne Pommery's best vintage in modern times.
The wine is extremely complex in style with lightly developed toner. Here comes the luxurious tones of red apples, grapefruit, brioche, nougat and almonds. The end is long and is in perfect balance between the high acid and its fruit like finish with lighter yeast and hazelnuts. The effervescence is deployed in a universe of bubbles with an extreme fineness, which linger on the surface before they disappear.
On the nose it releases a quantity of unsuspected fragrances, where everything is well ordered and harmonious. It is rich, generous and silky, allowing for some notes of biscuits, resulting from the effect of the yeasts. It is extended by spicy touches, embellished by floral notes but also fresh fruit with white flesh, like greengage. Flavours of hazelnut butter, yeasts and almond paste.
