Laurent-Perrier was established in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and was the first family-owned independent Champagne House. The name “Laurent-Perrier” was created by Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, who combined the two family names after the House was expanded. Her daughter inherited the House in 1925 and sold it in 1939 to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt. The latter, widow and mother of four children, acquired the Domaine Laurent-Perrier and ran the business while two of her sons, Maurice and Bernard, joined the French Resistance.
The House was built around 4 strong convictions: blending, a unique style, the Chardonnay grape variety and innovation.
Laurent-Perrier Champagne is based on the art of blending: the blending of grape varieties, the blending of Crus and the blending of years. Beyond rare vintages, Laurent-Perrier brings this art to a peak with Grand Siècle.
Chardonnay is the basis of the Laurent-Perrier style. This grape variety brings Brut Sans Année from “La Cuvée” to the House’s Champagnes with the most prestigious Cuvées bringing the freshness, the elegance and purity that make the Laurent-Perrier style so distinct.
Laurent-Perrier has been avant-garde in creating unique and elegant Champagne for nearly 200 years, making it one of the world's most esteemed Champagne Houses and also the largest family-owned brand. Laurent-Perrier was the first House to offer the successive breakthrough Cuvées of Grand Siècle, Cuvée Rosé, Ultra Brut and Alexandra Rosé Millesimé.
Rosé Champagne makes a perfect gift for Champagne lovers; Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne gift boxes will delight connoisseurs.
