Pewsey Valley is a specialist single site, single varietal vineyard focused on creating beautiful Rieslings such as this, which is a classic example of a dry Eden Valley Riesling showing the generous flavour seen consistently from this vineyard every year.
Vines were first planted in Pewsey Vale in 1847 by Joseph Gilbert, son of a British landowner from the Vale of Pewsey and today the iconic vineyard is looked after by the Hill-Smith family who after purchasing the property in 1970 have shifted the focus to the beauty and diversity of Riesling.

Grape: Riesling
The wine presents as pale straw in colour, with green hues, and showcases powerful aromas of fresh limes, white flowers and subtle tones of fine dried herbs. The palate is long and rich, with flavours of fresh rosemary and lime. The wine is well balanced, with a soft natural acidity that stabalises the flavour intensity and a minerality that is irresistible now, but would develop beautifully in medium to long-term cellaring.
Great with seafood such as fresh oysters or scallops or even try with aromatic spiced Thai dishes.
