Pegasus Bay Waipara Valley Riesling 2024 New Zealand 75cl

Pegasus Bay Riesling 2024 comes from the Waipara Valley of North Canterbury New Zealand and is produced by The Donaldson Family. The unique position of their vineyards on north-facing terraces of New Zealand's Southern Alps produces a low yield of optimally ripened, high quality grapes, the warm days and cool nights draw out the ripening period while retaining good natural acidity.

The 2024 Riesling is an elegant and stylised wine, that is crisp & structural, with a long, resonant finish.

The house style of giving the grapes a longer ''hang time'' helps express the regions unique varietal features and the free run juice is fermented slowly at cool temperatures to retain vibrant fruit character. At all stages, the wine is handled very carefully to keep a little of the natural carbon dioxide resulting in a small amount of spritzing adding extra liveliness to the wine.
