Akitu Pinot Noir Blanc 2019 Wine NZ 75cl
Akitu Pinot Noir Blanc 2019 is a truly unique and individual wine that is somewhere between a white and a rosé due to the unusual use of 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The perfect summer wine with a beautifully floral perfume, white peach and crisp apple notes but also a spicy, yeasty flavour that adds to the outstanding texture on the palate. The grapes are pressed when cold to ensure the minimal colour is picked up from the skins before this wine is then left on fine lees to ferment for 5 months, creating excellent palate structure and texture.
"I've never lept on a wine so fast! Delicate aromas of Pacific Rose apple, fennel, white pepper and cherry blossom osmose across the palate with flirty-fresh acidity and taut, tantalising textures." - Yvonne LorkinRead more...

There's also a list of non fruit aromas from flowers to river stones and a leesy spice, overall quite seductive. On the palate - very engaging with a steely, leesy texture, lots of crunch and bite then a core of fruit re-emerges leading through a lengthy balanced finish. A well made and thoughtful expression. Drink now and through the end of Summer 2021." - Cameron Douglas MSGrape: Pinot NoirOn the nose, there are fresh aromas with a light berry sorbet lift and dried herb notes leading into a palate of refined flavours, structure and persistence.
