On the nose, the wine presents aromas of redcurrants, cherries and raspberries with a hint of spice. The palate is smooth and silky, with notes of fresh red fruit, wild herbs and cracked pepper. The finish is long and satisfying.
The wine pairs well with grilled meat dishes, such as lamb chops with polenta and a grilled scallion sauce.
