Dandelion Lioness of Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2023 is a complex wine that exquisitely showcases the essence of the McLaren Vale region. The fruit flavours hit highlights of menthol and mint, with - all the while- that savoury undertone continues. This is a ferocious mouthful of Shiraz with an ethereal edge. Long and rounded and giving.
After a 12-day fermentation, the wine was basket pressed into some new but predominantly older French Oak barriques, to then mature for a further 16 months in the same oak, before bottling.
The Lioness of Mclaren Vale is 100% Shiraz and is a testament to the skill of the winemakers and the unique terroir of the region.

On the nose, the wine is full of aromas of dark fruits, including boysenberry and plum, with notes of cocoa, violets and white pepper. The palate is rich, layered and velvety with prominent black plum and blackberry flavours that are supported by soft, dry tannins and a subtle spice.
