It comes from Tapanappa's Whalebone Vineyard that is located on bright red terra rossa formed on limestone containing the bones of a 37 million year old whale. Cabernet Shiraz is the traditonal blend of great Australian red wines and the Whalebone Vineyard soil and climate provide a natural home for this blend.
This is is a ripe and highly structured wine, the sweet fruit middle being offset by long and persistent tannins, which contribute a savory balance to this traditional Australian blend.
