S.C. Pannell McLaren Vale Grenache Shiraz Touriga 2021 is a lively, aromatic wine and presents as very fruit-driven. With aromas of cherry, raspberry bonbons, blueberry and dark chocolate, the medium-bodied wine showcases a smooth texture and an energetic acidity and culminates in an extended finish.
The Grenache and Shiraz grapes were sent to French oak puncheon for malolactic fermentation before being transferred to stainless steel vats to be matured. The Touriga, which had been picked at a later date, was crushed and fermented in stainless steel with daily pump overs before pressing. Once completed, it was also sent to puncheons for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Without filtration or fining, the wine was then blended and bottled.
