S.C. Pannell Adelaide Hills Tempranillo Touriga Australia 75cl

S.C. Pannell 2020 Tempranillo Touriga is a flavourful red wine from the Adelaide Hills region of Australia. It is a blend of 57% Tempranillo, 29% Touriga and 14% Tinto Cão. Produced using Spanish and Portuguese grape varietals, the wine has intense aromas of blackcurrants, red berries, and black pepper. The Tempranillo brings structure and complexity, while the Touriga Nacional contributes ripe fruit and spice notes.

These grapes were sourced predominately from Stephen Pannell's own vineyards on the edge of Blewitt Springs, which are planted on ancient soils flecked with ironstone over various types of clay. The Tempranillo comes from 20+ year old vines planted on an alluvial fan of clay and gravel soils. The Touriga is grafted onto Chardonnay with 30-year-old roots, cultivated in a south-facing plot that is unirrigated and regeneratively managed.
