Paxton Quandong Farm 2022 Shiraz is a single vineyard red wine from the McLaren Vale region of Southern Australia, that aims to highlight the brightness and intensity of fruit grown using bio-dynamic techniques. The wine has spent 12 months in French Oak and can be cellared for up to 20 years. The 2022 vintage provides concentration, flavour and a certain delicacy, rather than simple power.
On the nose, the wine is an aromatic feast for the senses, with heavy scents of musk and purple fruit straps complemented by fragrant notes of juniper, rosemary blooms and a hint of sandalwood. The wine's powdery tannins are firm and velvety, and the finish is long and satisfying.
