On the nose, intense notes of red currant, violet and blueberry are complemented by notes of black olive, tobacco leaf and dusty dark chocolate. The palate is elegant and refined, combining dark fruits and sweet spice with firm, gravelly tannins. The finish is long and impressive.
The 2017 Vintage is an excellent pairing for richly flavored dishes such as lamb, duck breast, venison or mushroom risotto.
