The Lake Breeze Bernoota Shiraz Cabernet 2021 is a blend of Shiraz (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), which has been carefully selected from old vines on the Follett family vineyard and matured in American and French oak barriques for 20 months.
Bernoota was the name originally given to the homestead situated on the Lake Breeze property, and is an Aboriginal name meaning 'camp among the gum trees'.

Shiraz 60%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%
Aromas of dark fruit, specifically blackberry and plums, with subtle tones of smoky oak and mint chocolate. The palate emulates all the trademark Langhorne Creek fruit sweetness and soft tannins. Whilst the Lake Breeze Shiraz is extremely delicious now, it will mature beautifully if cellared correctly for the next 8-10 years.
This opulent, medium-bodied wine would pair well with red meats, specifically roasted venison, beef or lamb, or would make a wonderful addition to a barbequed meal, with bold flavours or hints of spice.
