Henschke Marble Angel Cabernet Sauvignon Australia 75cl
The Henschke Marble Angel Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is a full-bodied wine from Barossa Valley at one of Australia's single greatest vineyards. Named after the white Angaston marble sculpture 'The Angel of Compassion and Duty', which stands next to the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard at Light Pass.
The wine has been matured in 20% new and 80% seasoned French oak hogsheads for 18 months, which has created a soft, well-rounded finish, which breaks down the powerful front palate fruit.
In 1862, Johann Christian Henschke planted a small vineyard on his farming property, initially intending to make wines for friends and family, however after his first release in 1868 (believed to be a Shiraz or a Riesling), the wheels were set in motion for bigger things to come.
