Charles Melton The Kirche Barossa Valley Australia 75cl
Charles Melton The Kirche 2019 is a Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon red wine from the Barossa Valley region of Southern Australia. A full-bodied wine that is a blend of 50% Shiraz and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, with ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and plum flavours. The Kirche is a great example of the best of Barossa Valley, which is known for producing bold, fruit-forward wines that showcase the region's unique terroir.
The Kirche is Charles Melton’s homage to the great Australian Shiraz/Cabernet style and offers a true sense of Australian vinous history.
The Charles Melton wines were originally inspired by those from the Rhône Valley, but are now considered to be leading examples in their own right. The vines were planted in 1989 and 1974, so are relatively youthful, at around 40 years old. They produce some of the highest quality Cabernet grown in the Barossa, along with superb Shiraz.
