Yarra Yering Dry Red No.2 2019 Case Deal is 12 bottles of the shiraz-dominated blend (96%) with a co-fermented touch of Mataro, Viognier and Marsanne. Produced in Victoria's Yarra Valley region, the 2019 wine is an elegant and fragrant expression of a northern Rhône-style wine. 

The 2019 Yarra Yering Dry Red No.2 is one of Australia’s most iconic, celebrated and distinctive reds ; a Shiraz-dominant Rhône-style blend from the Yarra Valley that combines fragrance, elegance, and structure in a way few Australian wines can match. Now with some 7 years of bottle age, it is drinking at a beautifully expressive stage.

Dr Bailey Carrodus, helped re-establish the Yarra Valley (Victoria) as one of Australia’s pre-eminent wine regions. After several years of careful research, in 1969 he purchased land at the foot of the Warramate Hills, and in 1973 produced the first vintages of his now iconic Dry Red Wine No.1 and Dry Red Wine No.2. From the beginning, it set itself apart with a numbering system rather than varietal labels- Dry Red No.1 (Bordelais blend) and this Dry Red No.2 (Rhône blend); a signature that has become part of Australian Wine history.
