The Xanadu Chardonnay 2023 is produced with predominately Estate grown Chardonnay grapes, grown in the Wallcliffe sub-region, with 70% of the blend being made with fruit sourced from the Stevens Road, Boodjidup and Lagan Vineyards.
To create this wine, the fruit is whole bunch pressed, and then barrel fermented in select French oak barriques (25% new oak). To introduce more personality and complexity to the wine, wild fermentation was encouraged, and the final blend was put together in November of 2023.

Grape: Chardonnay
The bouquet exudes aromas of pear, citrus zest and stone fruit, which are complemented by an intricate oak nuttiness. On the palate, the wine is creamy, bright and generous and well-balanced by a mineral, saline freshness.
The Xanadu Chardonnay is an incredibly versatile wine, and would make the perfect addition to a meal of roasted chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes and some cheeses.
