The Turkey Flat Barossa White 2022 is a medium-bodied wine created at the Turkey Flat Vineyard, in Barossa Valley, South Australia. The wine is light yellow in colour, and deliciously combines notes of gun smoke, ginger spice and creamy nougat.
Turkey Flat is the local name for the vineyard property and is believed to be named by the original settlers in the late 1840s after the large flocks of native bush turkeys in the area.The vineyard recognise the significance of the bird and the original landscape it inhabited through the artwork on their bottles, and are greatful to the landscape for supporting their vines, and allowing them to curate unique, character-filled fine wine.

On the nose, this light yellow-white wine has a fresh bouquet; exuding aromas of honeydew and fresh citrus and combining deliciously with subtle tones of gun smoke, ginger spice, and creamy nougat. On the tongue, the wine provides a rich assortment of roasted and fresh stone fruit, infused with toast and spice. The flavour then evolves into a zesty, crip hit of ginger and a lingering finish.
The Turkey Flat Barossa White is a medium bodied, soft-but-dry white wine, so would pair wonderfully with chicken. Our specific recommendation would be a deboned, barbecued spatchcock, smothered in garlic and olive oil.
