Tahbilk Viognier Nagambie Lakes Australia 75cl
Tahbilk Viognier 2023 is a lively and floral white wine from the Nagambie Lakes in Victoria, Australia. The Tahbilk has a more delicate and elegant expression than is usually synonymous with Viognier; it has a wonderful freshness and personality. Tahbilk is a historic family-owned winery, renowned for its old vines and great wines. The estate has the world’s largest single holding of Marsanne from vines, which was established in 1927 and is among the oldest in the world.
Originating in Condrieu in France’s Northern Rhone Valley, Tahbilk’s first plantings of Viognier were established in 1990. The inaugural vintage was released in 1996 to early critical acclaim with the Estate nominated by Australian Vignerons magazine as producing one of the Benchmark Six Australian releases.
Nagambie Lakes is one of only six regions in the world where the meso-climate of the vineyards is significantly influenced by inland water mass. The multiple lakes and lagoons that the Goulburn River links create a moderate, cooler climate within Victoria.
