S.C. Pannell Grenache Shiraz Touriga Australia Case Deal is 12 bottles of the lively and aromatic wine from the McLaren Vale region. The wine is medium-bodied with aromas of cherry, raspberry bonbons, blueberry and dark chocolate. A smooth texture and an energetic acidity that culminates in an extended finish.
The Grenache and Shiraz grapes were sent to French oak puncheon for malolactic fermentation before being transferred to stainless steel vats to be matured. The Touriga, which had been picked at a later date, was crushed and fermented in stainless steel with daily pump overs before pressing.

This takes an Iberian angle on a more familiar regional blend, suffusing the red-berried grenache with powdery purple florals, an earthy bass note of shiraz providing the connective tissue. House-described as an all-rounder, this is just that, maximising the graphic equaliser properties of blending to achieve a harmonious and very present whole, perfectly pitched for both the table and also for lingering once the plates are cleared." - Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion.
On the nose, the wine is fruit driven and lively, with aromas of blueberry, cherry, raspberry bonbons and dark chocolate, enveloped in panettone scents provided by the Touriga. In the mouth, it is medium-bodied, with a silky, smooth texture and an energetic acidity. The complex aromas persist through to the prolonged finish.
Delicious when enjoyed on it's own, but would make a wonderful pairing to a rich, savoury dish.
