S.C. Pannell Fifi Fiano 2024 is 12 bottles of the bright and outstanding Fiano from the McLaren Vale region of Australia. The wine offers a lovely acidity with some oak influence that gives a length and texture to the blend.
Named in tribute to Fiona Pannell, known to her friends as Fi Fi and the driving force behind Pannell Enoteca. In Stephen's words, "a wine that gives praise and thanks to the siren song that makes my life complete." Stephen Pannell has gone from being one of Australia’s best and brightest young talents to one of their most lauded winemakers.

"95 Points. From two sites, this started with fermentation in steel, with two-thirds transferred to older French oak for alcoholic and mlf, followed by eight weeks in large format oak. Bright and crunchy, with some herbal, tonic edges, yellow grapefruit, cool peach, orange blossom and rind, makrut lime and sugar snaps. The texture is a standout here, with a subtle generosity balancing the refined tension. It’s an excellent release. " - Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
On the nose, notes of guava and green papaya are followed by white currant, quince and nectarine. Elderflower plays with Kaffir lime, lanolin and lemongrass roll into view, and lime delivers the knockout blow. The palate is crisp, crunchy and refreshing. The drive of acidity marries with the phenolics on the dry finish, giving length and extended pleasure.
