The name Plantagenet was given to the Shire by early English settlers and was adopted by the winery when it was established in 1974.

On the nose, the 2025 vintage has intense aromas of passionfruit, white peach, gooseberry and lemongrass with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate offers flavours of vibrant citrus, passionfruit and guava with a slate-like, lean minerality and a refreshing natural acidity.
Ideal with light, fresh foods such as salads, seafood, goat’s cheese dishes, light pasta or summer meals.
