Gilles Merlet became a pioneer by experimenting with the plantation of Cassis, Blackcurrants, Raspberry, Wild Strawberry, Peach, Pear or Melon at the end of the 70’s in the Cognac production area. It was a complete success as not only did he grow exceptionally amazing berries, but he also used the family’s “savoir-faire” to produce his own “Crème de fruit” (Fruit Liqueurs). This is how the "Creme de Cassis de la Saintonge Boisee" was born.

Very deep dark violet robe, almost black. Extremely powerful ripe blackcurrant nose. Sharp notes, mint, basil and black tea. Its thick consistency witnesses a maximum fruits concentration. One sip reminds us our grandmother's home-made jam. The blackcurrant aftertaste lingers endlessly in the mouth. Has been selected by the Head Sommelier of L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon.
