Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millesime 2012 Vintage Champagne 75cl
Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millesime 2012 is a highly-regarded rosé from one of the greatest vintage years in modern Champagne history, which produced wines with a balance of richness and freshness. A blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay, the resulting Champagne is full-bodied, with rich flavours of red fruit, brioche and spice.
The rosé was made from a selection of 11 Grand and Premier Crus across Champagne. The Chardonnay from Oger, Cuis, Chouilly and Vertus, and the Pinot Noir were Avenay, Tauxières, Ambonnay, Verzy, Ay and Les Riceys.
Charles Heidsieck is one of Champagne's smallest Grand Marques and produces some of the region’s finest cuvées. The House was founded in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the original ‘Champagne Charlie’, who invested in the now-UNESCO-listed ‘crayères’ chalk cellars beneath the city of Reims. These cathedral-like cellars were hand-dug by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago and are still used today to age all of Charles Heidsieck’s champagnes.
