Cape Mentelle 16 Hectares 2024 is a classic expression of Sauvignon Blanc Semillon from Margaret River, Australia, and displays lovely floral, lemongrass and lime aromas. The wine is dry and light-bodied, and is produced from fruit from their three estate vineyards of Wallcliffe, Crossroads and Chapman Brook, where the soils are geologically ancient.
Made up of a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon, the wine emphasises depth and distinction, while remaining vibrant in flavour and expression.

On the nose, notes of fresh green lime juice, lemon sorbet, crisp cucumber aromas with hints of fresh cut lemongrass. The palate offers mouth-filling notes of green apple and lemon pith which carry through to a crisp and refreshing finish.
This wine pairs wonderfully with grilled halibut dressed with lemongrass and ginger or accentuates the savoury richness of a goat cheese soufflé. Or simply pair it with a creamy brie.
